BACKUP YOUR DATABASE FIRST!

Your site uses an online database to keep track of everything for sale or display. Please backup first so that if anything goes wrong and cannot be fixed, you have the best backup to restore the site from.

Daily Backups
The content of your website is in an SQL database. We have an auto backup system that makes a daily backup copy of this database file, usually between midnight and 6am. If something goes terribly wrong we can restore your site using the last backup available.

Also Backup Your SQL Database Before You Start
You can also manually backup the databse before working on the site using one of the installed backup components.

Backup Your Database in Joomla 1.0

On the main Joomla menu bar, mouse over Components > eBackup > Backup.
Click on the checkbox next to the word "Tables" - this causes all the sub tables to be checked also.
Below that, click the big "Backup Now" button.
Click the big "Backup" button
On the next screen you don't have to enter any information, just click the big "Start" button.
That's it, you've backup up!

Backup Your Database in Joomla 1.5

On the main Joomla menu bar, mouse over Components > JoomlaPack.
Next to "Active Profile" select "Backup Database" and then click the Switch Profiles button.
On the next screen you don't have to enter any information, just click the "Backup Now" button in the lower left corner.
Stay on the page until the backup finishes, it should be less than a minute.
That's it, you've backup up!
