    How to Edit a Joomla Article

    Most Joomla webpages can be edited and updated online in the Article editor.

    How To Edit and Update a Joomla Article

    Click on Article Manger on the Content Menu. This opens up the Article Manager which is a list of all the Articles currently in your Joomla website.

    You can filter the list with the "Select Section" and "Select Category" dropdowns.

    Click on the name of the Article you want to edit.

    Not every webpage on your site is listed in the Article Manager. All VirtueMart pages, for instance, are created by the VirtueMart Component and are edited in VirtueMart. Other Components may be installed on your website that create pages.
      This opens the Edit Article screen where you can see your current page.

    The help button brings up a help page with detailed information about the Article screen.

    • Clicking the Save button saves the page and exits the editor.
    • Clicking the Apply button saves the page but keeps the editor open.
    • Clicking the Preview button shows the page in a popup preview window. The page may appear somewhat different on your actual website because the Preview window may not show all design elements in your website template.
