Who Should Have Their Own Login Account for Editing or Updating a Joomla Site?

Anyone you grant access to the Admin area should definitely have their own login account. This is vital for accountability and security. Never give someone else your login and password, especially if you are a Super Administrator.

Who should be a Manager, Administrator or Super administrator?

A Super Administrator can shut down a Joomla site, either intentionally or by accident, or can lock you out of your own site. So only a very trusted assistant with very good knowledge of Joomla should be considered for Super Administrator status.

An Administrator can update most of the content of a Joomla website but is under the control of anyone who is a Super Administrator. This makes "Administrator" an ideal user account level for anyone helping to update a Joomla website.

A Manager has more limited scope - just content management - and may be suited to someone with limited duties or who is learning Joomla.
